Surrender Your Pet

Options to consider before surrendering your pet

We understand that surrendering your companion can be challenging for you and your family.  If you are considering  surrendering your pet, please do not hesitate to call the shelter to discuss your situation with our staff.

  • Unwanted Behaviors: Many unwanted animal behaviors that lead to someone wanting to surrender a pet can be corrected. CASA is available to try and help you find the necessary resources or services that may help you keep your pet.

  • Vet Costs: Financial assistance may be available if you find yourself in a situation where you need to surrender your pet due to veterinary costs. See Resources for Financial/Medical Assistance organizations.

If you are considering surrendering your pet to CASA, please follow the steps below. Surrenders are by appointment only, and wait times can vary depending on many factors.
